I started fishing seriously for big carp, about 18yrs ago,i have caught many 20lb carp, but as yet, i am still looking to bank a 30lb carp. All though i enjoy every Carp i bank,99% of us Carpers always want a bigger one.I am hoping to possibly get into the  bigger Carp this season with the chance of joining Priory Lakes, with 2 of my old mates Mike and Tim ,i have fished a few  times there this season with Mike a person who i would fish anywhere with due to the fact, that he just works hard at his fishing, never complains, and always has a big smile for you when you bank a Carp.I have banked a few nice carp so far from priory lakes this season, and every time you get a Carp picking up your bate, you think to yourself is this the elusive 30lb Carp. Who knows what the 2005 season will bring.I am now a syndicate member of Priory lakes, and cant wait to start my campaign there,in June 2005.

Carp fishing is such an enjoyable pastime, over a period of time, you become more compitent at Carping, with good bait and rigs etc,but i like to keep things simple, wth rigs and bait i know that work for me,but you always have to adapt,to the situations, that present themselves to you, like for instance weed, silt, deep water, shallow water, hot,and cold tempetures, feeding times etc,but the most important thing for me is,confidence in my rigs bait, and where i have placed a bait for the carp to pick up,its no good just casting out and telling yourself, that will do,you have to be 100% happy with the position of your rig/bait.Then if you have done your homework, then its just a matter of time, especially in the warmer months, when carp are moving around more, for food.always listen to peoples advice, but ultimately make your own decisions.
